Oscilloscope News

RS RT ZM30 March 2017 - Measuring fast data signals, e.g. on SuperSpeed USB or PCIe-2.0 interfaces, requires an oscilloscope that can acquire and analyze data rates up to 5 Gbit/s and suitable probes. The new R&S RT-ZM modular broadband probe system from Rohde & Schwarz ensures that optimum contact is made with the DUT. It provides a high dynamic range and, depending on the tip and test mode, an extremely low input capacitance of 32 femtofarad to 521 femtofarad up into the GHz range. As a result, the test signal is exposed to minimal load and distortion from the probe tip. The R&S RT-ZM system consists of the R&S RT ZM15/30/60/90 amplifier modules with 1.5 GHz to 9 GHz bandwidth plus various swappable R&S RT-ZMA tips and tip modules.

PicoScope 930028 March 2017 - Pico Technology has increased the bandwidth of its PicoScope 9300 family of Sampling Oscilloscopes with two new 25 GHz models. The USB-controlled Sampling Oscilloscope, available only from Pico, stands as one of very few low-cost, high-integrity options for viewing and measuring RF and microwave signals, paths and networks. Sampling Oscilloscopes are the cost-effective solution to today’s proliferation of gigabit-per-second datastreams and their copper, wireless and optical fiber interconnect.

RS RTO200027 March 2017 - The new test options for the R&S RTO2000 series oscilloscopes of Rohde & Schwarz with a bandwidth of 6 GHz make these instruments ideal for testing fast communications interfaces. The new options support the 5 Gbit/s SuperSpeed USB and PCI Express (PCIe) 2.0 interfaces. There is also a new solution for USB power delivery (USB-PD).

Pico TA32624 March 2017 - Pico Technology launched the TA325 and TA326 flex current probes, which use Rogowski coil technology to measure AC currents up to 3000 A. Clamp-on current probes or “current clamps” enable you to measure currents without breaking the electrical circuit. Current clamps are designed with jaws that can be opened, placed around the conductor and clamped shut to form a magnetic loop around the conductor.

Tek TDECQ23 March 2017 – Tektronix introduced new optical modules for its DSA8300 sampling oscilloscope that feature the industry’s highest mask test sensitivity and lowest noise along with new features that increase production capacity and improve yield for current 100G designs moving into production. The company also unveiled enhancements to its 400G test solution including IEEE Ethernet standard-driven Transmitter and Dispersion Eye Closure (TDECQ) PAM4 and related support measurements for optical testing.

TiePie Handyscope HS6 DIFF22 March 2017 - TiePie engineering introduced the Handyscope HS6 DIFF, a USB 3.0 four channel high resolution oscilloscope with differential inputs is available in models with 50 MS/s up to 1 GS/s sampling rate. The Handyscope HS6 DIFF features TiePie engineering's unique SafeGround technology, differential inputs that can safely be switched to single ended.

RS RT ZVC0220 March 2017 - Rohde & Schwarz introduced the R&S RT-ZVC02/04 multichannel power probe. The R&S RT-ZVC02 power probe offers two current and two voltage channels, the R&S RT-ZVC04 four current and four voltage channels in addition to the analog oscilloscope channels. Up to two R&S RT-ZVC02/04 probes can be connected to an R&S RTE or R&S RTO oscilloscope for up to 16 additional test channels. This allows automatic testing of even critical power-up sequences on CPU mainboards and FPGA circuits.

RS RTB200016 March 2017 -- Rohde & Schwarz broadens its oscilloscope portfolio with the new R&S RTB2000 low cost oscilloscope. Starting at just EUR 1,250, it features touchscreen operation, 10-bit vertical resolution and 10 Msample acquisition memory on each oscilloscope channel and delivers functionality previously only available in substantially higher priced oscilloscopes.

GWInstek MSO 200015 March 2017 - The new mixed-signal oscilloscope MSO-2000 is based on the software and hardware platforms of the GDS-2000E, which features a waveform update rate of 120,000 wfm/s and 10M memory depth per channel. The series includes MSO-2000E and MSO-2000EA. MSO-2000E has a built-in 16-channel logic analyzer and MSO-2000EA has a built-in 16-channel logic analyzer and a dual channel 25MHz arbitrary waveform generator.

Pico PicoScope 4444 13 March 2017 - Pico Technology introduced the PicoScope 4444 high-resolution differential oscilloscope. This instrument features four true differential input channels and a range of accessories for measurements from millivolt to 1000 V CAT III applications. The new PicoScope addresses the perennial problem of making accurate voltage waveform measurements on circuit elements that are not ground-referenced, without the risk of short circuits that could damage the device under test or the measuring instrument.
