Oscilloscope News

12 May 2021 – Teledyne LeCroy launched MAUI Studio Pro, a versatile PC-based oscilloscope analysis software. This new PC software improves productivity and collaboration by allowing engineers to connect remotely to Teledyne LeCroy oscilloscopes while replicating their oscilloscope work environment on their PC.

Any design, test or validation engineer who has tried to accomplish remote measurements using an oscilloscope has probably tried to use cumbersome tools with results that fall far short of the desired experience. These shortcomings have been accentuated as pandemic-related concerns accelerated the trend towards more remote work and collaboration with distributed teams.

MAUI Studio Pro unleashes the power of Teledyne LeCroy’s MAUI oscilloscope software on an engineer’s PC. It remotely controls a networked Teledyne LeCroy oscilloscope to simplify remote work and distributed team collaboration. It imports waveforms saved on Teledyne LeCroy or other brands of oscilloscopes, performs off-line analysis using the same powerful MAUI toolbox available on Teledyne LeCroy oscilloscopes, and simulates arbitrary waveforms and jitter to further aid debug and analysis efforts. Engineers from vastly different locations can collaborate with one another and build on previous engineering insights to accelerate debug and validation. Furthermore, when data is saved and shared through Teledyne LeCroy’s LabNotebook files, the oscilloscope’s debug and analysis software options are enabled within MAUI Studio Pro on the user’s PC. This eliminates the need to purchase a suite of additional software options for the PC-based MAUI Studio Pro.

MAUI Studio Pro is priced at $1490. A free version with more limited capabilities called simply “MAUI Studio” is also available for download.
