First CXPI Triggering and Decode Options for Oscilloscopes
05 May 2016 - Keysight Technologies announced the clock extension peripheral interface (CXPI) decoding and triggering options for its InfiniiVision 3000T and 4000 X-Series oscilloscopes. These are the only oscilloscopes available today that can decode and trigger on the CXPI bus. These new capabilities improve engineers’ efficiency in debugging the physical layer of CXPI serial buses, which are used primarily in automotive applications.
Measure high Frequency Motor Drive Common-Mode Currents
03 May 2016 - Power Electronic Measurements (PEM) Ltd launched new non-contact current probes for measuring HF common mode currents in Variable Frequency Drives (VSDs) used to control AC motors. The new CMC series of current probes, using Rogowski technology, empower engineers to assess the magnitude of the threat posed by HF common-mode currents, that can damage motor bearings and interfere with nearby electrical equipment.
USB Oscilloscopes provide Functionality of six Instruments
28 April 2016 - Pico Technology expanded its 2000 Series PicoScope PC based oscilloscopes with new models. The PicoScope two-channel, four-channel and mixed-signal models have the functionality of an oscilloscope plus a logic analyzer (on MSO models), spectrum analyzer, function generator, arbitrary waveform generator, and serial bus analyzer with support for 15 protocols included as standard. They are USB-powered and come in an ultra-portable package that can be easily transported in a laptop bag.
1GSa/s Sample Rate USB Oscilloscope
19 April 2016 - On the 87th China Electronics fair in Shenzhen (08 April to 10 April) Hantek launched a new four channel 1GSa/s sample rate USB oscilloscope. The Hantek 6XX4 series features a bandwidth of up to 250 MHz, with optional extra single-channel signal generator and vehicle test functions.
Oscilloscope Firmware Update adds PAM-4 BER and MultiScope Support
08 April 2016 – Keysight Technologies introduced two software updates for its real-time oscilloscope products. The software updates are currently available in the Infiniium oscilloscope firmware version 5.60. The N8827A PAM-4 analysis software update adds bit error ratio (BER) capabilities for 4-level pulse amplitude modulation (PAM-4) based signals. The N8834A MultiScope software update adds support for Keysight’s InfiniiVision oscilloscopes.
Characterization and Debug Test Solution for IEEE802.11ad Designs
06 April 2016 - Tektronix introduced the industry's most accurate solution for characterizing and debugging IEEE 802.11ad transmitter PHY for silicon and system designs trying to achieve multi-gigabit wireless connectivity. The new test solution, based on the 70GHz DPO70000SX Series ATI Oscilloscope powered by SignalVu Option SV30, delivers industry best residual error vector magnitude (EVM) measurements along with easy setup for complete characterization and robust debugging capabilities.
Mid-Range Oscilloscopes featuring first OneTouch Gesture Control
05 April 2016 - Teledyne LeCroy introduces the WaveRunner 8000 oscilloscopes with bandwidths from 500 MHz to 4 GHz, which deliver an extensive toolbox coupled with a superior user experience to expedite solving debug problems. WaveRunner 8000 debuts the next-generation MAUI advanced OneTouch user interface making measurement setup incredibly easy, speeding up dramatically the time to insight into complex signal abnormalities.
